Petterssonspetsar (Pettersson Lace) originates in the Österlen area of Scania in southern Sweden now infamous due to the upsurge in popularity for Scandinavian TV Crime Noir. The lace is constructed on a standard pricking the pattern is indicated on a working pattern no marks are made on the pricking. he lace is related to Scania Freehand Lace (Skånsk Knyppling). Pettersonspetsar was used to adorn ladies headdress of the østerlen region (helklut) and mens shirts wide collars and cuffs.
